Tour of Historic Beijing (Half Day/Full Day) The tour includes most of Beijing’s landmark sites, starting with the famed Forbidden City, consisting of over 9,000 rooms and spread over 250 acres. This large palace complex was built between 1406 and 1420, but renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 18th century and on wards during the Qing Dynasty. Next is Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing and is the biggest square in the world. Located at the northwest suburb of Beijing, the Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty. Its predecessor was burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860 and in 1886, Empress Dowager Cixi organized its reconstruction, re-naming it the Summer Palace. Temple of Heaven ( Tiantan ) is located in the southern part of Beijing, and has been one of China’s most holy places for more than five centuries as well as being the largest and most complete imperial garden existing in China.

Essential Beijing Evening (Half Day) The nightly Acrobatics at Beijing are not to be missed. The Beijing Acrobatic Troupe is one of the best in China with an acrobatic show that has become one of the most popular evening excursions in Beijing. You can enjoy gravity-defying contortionism, juggling, unicycling, chair-stacking, and plate-spinning acts, then rejuvenate your taste buds afterwards with a Beijing roast duck banquet dinner.
