City Tour (Half Day). See the key sights of the city where German Emperors were crowned. This is a city where the old meets the new - it also houses the European Central Bank in the financial centre, site of some of the highest skyscrapers in Europe. But you start at the historic heart of the city at the Romer, the famous old city hall, moving on to the Cathedral and Saint Paul´s Church. Walk through Romer Square and into the former artisan’s quarter Old Sachsenhausen. See Goethe House, birth place of the great poet; the trade fair grounds, home to the city’s big international fairs; the famous old opera house ( Alte Oper) and of course the banking centre. There is also a chance to see the Hauptwache, a baroque café at the centre of one of the most famous plazas in the city; the Zeil, Frankfurt’s main shopping street; the towers of the former city wall, and any of the city’s many fascinating museums.

Heidelberg excursion (Full Day). See picturesque Heidelberg on the river Neckar. This five hour tour includes entrance fees to Heidelberg’s romantic castle and a picnic lunchbox. It gives you the time to get to know this charming city, home to Germany’s oldest university. One of the first traces of ancient man was found here. Up to 600,000 years ago the Heidelberg Man died nearby, and his jawbone was found on the city outskirts in 1907. A copy is on display at the Museum of the Palatinate. Karlsplatz (Charles Square) unusually spacious for Heidelberg’s Old Town, provides an unhindered view of the Castle, once praised as “Germany’s largest and most beautiful ruin”. This beautiful old building dominates the skyline, looming over the old town. During the Castle Festival in the summer, open air music and theatre events are staged in these beautiful surroundings. If you would like to see the city from above, you can take a trip to the nearby Heiligenberg (Saints' Hill), across the river from the castle. Visitors can walk to the summit and view the ruins of the St Michael and St Stephen abbeys as well as the large open air amphitheatre, Thingstatte.
