City Experience Kuala Lumpur (Half Day) Discover the old and the new, starting from where Kuala Lumpur began at the confluence of two rivers and includes a visit to the King’s Palace, the National Museum, the National War Monument and Independence Square. Enjoy the contrasting sights of historical architecture and modern skyscrapers in this beautiful garden city. Visit a local handicraft centre and a photo stop at the magnificent Petronas Towers.
Countryside Experience (Half Day/Full Day) The fringes of the city of Kuala Lumpur have many cottage industries and nature reserves. Discover how beautiful pewter products are manufactured at the world famous Royal Selangor factory and watch artisans making local Malay batik. Visit the Batu Caves, the famous site of the annual Thaipusam Festival in January/February, where almost a million Hindu devotees congregate. The 272-steps climb lead you to the top of a natural limestone cavern which houses a sacred Hindu shrine.
Historical Malacca (Full Day)Founded in 1403, the Sultanate of Malacca was once the greatest and most powerful empire and seaport in South-East Asia. The Portuguese, Dutch and British ruled over Malacca’s silk and spice trade for centuries and this rich heritage is evident today in a unique mix of architectural styles in the port city of Malacca. Visit the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia, the Dutch Stadhuys and walk through the ruins of St Paul’s Church where St Francis Xavier was once buried. Malacca is one of the birthplaces of the ‘Babas’ - a unique mix of Chinese and Malay cultures. Note: Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Lunch is provided.
Fun on Genting Highlands (Half Day)Take a relaxing 90-minute drive through dense tropical vegetation before reaching the “City of Entertainment” in the Genting Highlands. Visit the casino and join in the excitement of playing blackjack, keno, roulette, French Bull, Tai Sai, baccarat and a host of slot machines. There are amusement parks, shopping arcades, a bowling and games alley, theatres and wellness centres. Outside the casino, the emphasis is on family fun. Enjoy leisurely boat rides on a beautifully landscaped lake, there is a mini-train ride for the kids or have fun on antique and bumper cars. Take a ride on the cable car for a birds-eye view of the mountain before returning to Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon.
